Accessibility

Neighborhood

East Garfield Park is an area that is still majority minority, filled with houses on the block that have been rehabilitated, next to boarded up ones. That said, don't expect high district level amenities such as a Starbucks on the corner, think more gas station coffee instead.

Guest Access

You'll have access to your private room, and the common areas of the house including kitchens/bathrooms.

Good to know

The space is in an old victorian era (c.1895) limestone/brick mansion located on Chicago's west side in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. It overlooks Washington Blvd. and is about a block from the Kedzie Green Line Train. Please note if you book, this is an old house, with over 125 years of living. This means lumps, bumps, scratches, and things in general that are less then perfect. Most people enjoy this character of a house, and it's why they book. I allow LUGGAGE DROP OFF! You can store your luggage in the closet before check-in and after check-out times, you can drop it off and pick it up as early and as late as you would like. Public transit options (train, bus, bike share) available about a block away.

We had a fantastic stay over Valentine’s Day weekend. The house is a shared space, but it felt very safe and private. Street parking was always available right outside the house. Plus such a short walk from the Kedzie green line. All the other guests were quiet and courteous, so we never had an issue sleeping after a long day of exploring the city. Not to mention the home is STUNNING. The history and gorgeous detail of the building alone made it worth it.

This place was spectacular. So comfortable and the chance to stay in a 1895 well-preserved mansion was delightful. It is convenient to Garfield Parkand the Green line. I liked this one a lot!

He gave a lot of great info. Area was relatively safe. Close to the Green Line so very easy to get around the city without a car. Parking was open. Great bang for your buck whether you're here for an interview, work, or just seeing what Chicago has to offer. I'm staying here when I come back!

Great location in Chicago, close to the Kedzie train station and very easy to find. The home felt safe and quiet, and it was so nice to come back here and relax at the end of each day.

This place was absolutely lovely! Very big and spacious and it honestly does feel as if no one is in the home. Everyone respected each others space and the common areas were almost always empty to use! We enjoyed our stay
