Experience Victorian Elegance at Fort Washington Chicago

I had a fantastic time. The house was beautiful. I had an incredible time admiring the details of it on every floor. Everything was always clean and kept up with. The pool table is such a cool touch to an amazing house too. All of the guests during my stay were nice and interesting. It all made for a very fun experience. If I am ever back in Chicago , I know this is one of the first places I am looking for to stay.

This was definitely a unique place. A restored Victorian mansion with tons of character. Our room was up the main staircase, one of two on the second floor facing the street. The house is located a couple of blocks from the Chicago "L" train. In addition to the 1890's architecture, there are lots of great modern features in the house such as pristine bathrooms and a completely remodeled kitchen. Ryan was very proactive and always responded to messages promptly. His description on the website is 100% accurate, everything is exactly as he described it. I will definitely try to book it again next time I am in Chicago

This is a very convenient place to stay, significantly cheaper than most places near downtown, and very close to the L train. Ryan’s description is very accurate and he gives very clear and useful instructions.

This is a safe and inexpensive place to stay in Chicago. Ryan is very communicative and house rules are easy to understand. I enjoyed staying here and I’ll likely book again when I return to Chicago. I love old houses and history so that was an added bonus!

The house was beautiful and located right next to the CTA line, perfect if you're planning to explore the city. Ryan was also very responsive. I definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Chicago!

The home was beautiful! I had an early flight and was able to store my things in the storage closet before my official check in time so I didn’t have to carry my luggage around the city. The train station was a short walking distance from the house. Even though I only rented a room, it was nice and quiet and I felt like I had the whole place to myself. I slept comfortably and got a great deal!

Ryan was an excellent host and very responsive. His home is comfortable & beautiful. The beauty of the historic home kept me in awe! My boyfriend & I stayed for three nights. The bed was comfortable and even though we did not have a private bathroom there are so many in the house we were able to access one every time it was needed. The pool table was fun to use. Kitchen amenities were great. Everything was clean. The locked gate with code and the locked front door with code made us feel very safe. We honestly felt like we were at home and look forward to coming back to stay again next year!

We enjoyed our stay. It was very close to the green line into the city. Our room stayed cool even though it was summer. I loved the architecture of the house. Would stay again!

SUPER cool house to stay in. Very well put together as well, cool ornate details through out, AND spacious and well furnished bedrooms! Great amenities as well, super cool experience, would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!!

We had no worries with the neighborhood. We felt very safe and parking options were great. All of our needs were met. Be prepared that you will share a bathroom. We were there in the highest heat of the summer and our A/C worked great. We’d stay again. Two thumbs up.
